How to Save and Print the Pie Chart

Internet Explorer & Miscrosoft Word Users

    How to Copy a Pie Chart, Paste it Into Word and, print it
  • Step 1) Open up Microsoft word
  • Step 2) make a pie chart with ChartMaker
  • Step 3) Right Click over the image of the pie chart and select copy.
  • Step 4) In the microsoft word document, click on the Edit Menu and select Paste (shortcut is control button + v)
  • Step 5) The pie chart that you made should now be visible in your microsoft word document like any other image so you can print the image and document as you normally would

    How to Save a Pie Chart to a folder

  • Step 1) Open up a blank document with microsoft word
  • Step 2) Use Chartmaker to make your own pie chart
  • Step 3) Right Click over the image of the pie chart and chose 'save picture as'
  • Step 4) Now just decide what folder you want to save the picture to (My Images, My Documents, Desktop..wherever you want to save your pie chart image.
  • Step 5) At this point, you have saved the picture to a folder.

Mozilla users tend to be a more computer savvy bunch, but if you need a hint you basically do the same as above. Make sure that word is open and right click over the image of the pie chart that you made . Then you can either chose 'copy image' or 'save image as' to either copy the image to the clip board or save the pie chart image to a folder. Sometimes, Mozilla tries to save the image incorrectly (as a web page or a 'php' file). All that you have to do is add '.png' to the file name--see highlighted letters in the picture below.
